What families say

Trusted by International Families

"We were nervous sending our son to Spain for the first time — he didn't speak a word of Spanish. Three weeks later, he called it the best summer of his life. The team kept in touch throughout and we never worried for a moment."
— A family from the UK, Gredos 2024
"LayosCamp was a revelation. Our daughter came back more confident, more independent, and with friends from four different countries. She's already booked for next August."
— Sarah M., Dublin
"What I appreciated most was the communication — a message every few days, photos, and a team you could reach on WhatsApp. For an international parent, that peace of mind is everything."
— Elena R., expat parent, Madrid
Common questions

Questions From International Families

Does my child need to speak Spanish to attend?

Not at all. LayosCamp has welcomed non-Spanish-speaking children for decades. Our staff support international campers from day one — children often communicate in a fun mix of languages.

How do you communicate with parents during camp?

We send regular updates — photos and brief notes — throughout the session. The team is reachable by WhatsApp and email. International parents consistently tell us this gives them real peace of mind.

How does my child get to the camp?

Fly into Madrid (Toledo and Gredos), Málaga or Gibraltar (Tarifa), or Bilbao/Santander. We provide detailed arrival guidance and recommended transport options. Transfer services may be available.

Do I need a visa for my child to attend?

EU and UK passport holders don't need a visa for a summer camp stay. Families outside the EU should check Spanish entry requirements. We can provide invitation letters for visa purposes.

What activities will my child do?

Sport (football, swimming, tennis), outdoor adventure (hiking, kayaking, climbing), creative arts, and team challenges — varying by location. Tarifa/Santander include water sports. Toledo is the most varied multi-activity camp.

What ages do you cater for?

Ages 6–17. Each camp has specific age ranges matched to activities. Ask us about the best fit for your child.

How do I enrol from abroad?

Enrolment is fully online. Reserve a place with a deposit and we confirm within 48 hours. All communication can be in English.
